Tip Replacement - Phenolic
This shows a job I did for a customer who wanted to be certain his tip would not come off his break cue!
It is a phenolic ferrule & tip combo.
Old ferrule was scratched and badly mushroomed.
Turned out really nicely.
Original ferrule
Old ferrule was turned off to the correct diameter for threading
Shaft was threaded to suit the ferrule using live tooling and glued
Ferrule was turned to shaft size, then sanded and polished
